2 Definitions
- Business Partner means a company, organisation or professional that commissions, sponsors, supports or participates in a project or programme
- Learning Partner means a participant, applicant or learner taking part in training, development or practical project work
- Programme means a course, cohort, bootcamp, workshop, mentoring arrangement, community, assessment or related learning service
- Services means training, mentoring, consultancy, project supervision, digital support and any other service expressly offered by Symposia Founders
- Specific Terms means an order page, proposal, statement of work, programme description, invoice, booking condition or written agreement applying to a particular purchase or engagement
- Website means symposiafounders.com and its pages, forms and connected checkout or booking journeys
3 Priority of Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply unless Specific Terms state otherwise. If there is a conflict, the Specific Terms take priority for that programme, project or purchase, followed by these Terms and Conditions. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority where they apply.
4 Eligibility and Authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. If you act for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it or to submit the relevant enquiry or application on its behalf.
You must provide accurate, current and complete information and promptly correct any material error.
5 Website Information and Applications
Website descriptions and invitations to apply are not automatically binding offers. Submitting an enquiry, application or assessment does not guarantee acceptance, sponsorship, a project, employment, a client relationship or a place in a programme.
We may assess fit, capacity, readiness, availability, conduct, project requirements and other relevant factors. We may decline an application where lawful and reasonable to do so.
6 Contract Formation
A contract is formed when we expressly accept your order or application, confirm your place, issue an accepted proposal or begin supplying the agreed service, whichever applies to the stated process. An automated acknowledgement that a form was received does not by itself confirm acceptance.
For an online purchase, the checkout or order page should explain the steps, price, payment obligation, available language and how to correct errors. You should receive a durable confirmation of the accepted order or contract.
7 Prices Taxes and Payment
Prices, currencies, taxes, payment dates and instalments will be shown on the relevant page, proposal or invoice. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a price is payable in the currency displayed and any applicable tax will be identified before purchase.
You authorise the payment provider to charge the selected payment method. You are responsible for bank charges, exchange costs and ensuring that payments are made on time. If an instalment fails, access or work may be paused after reasonable notice until the account is brought up to date.
A payment plan is a schedule for paying the full agreed price, not a monthly subscription that can automatically be cancelled without liability, unless the Specific Terms expressly say it is a subscription.
8 Consumer Right of Withdrawal
If you purchase as a consumer at a distance, you will normally have 14 calendar days from the date the contract is made to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to legal exceptions.
To exercise the right, submit a clear statement through the Contact Us page before the period expires. If you asked for a service to begin during the withdrawal period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied before withdrawal.
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost once supply begins only where you gave the legally required prior express consent, acknowledged the loss of the right and received confirmation. These terms do not remove any mandatory right that applies to you.
9 Cancellations Refunds and Rescheduling
Any cancellation, transfer, refund or rescheduling rules shown in the Specific Terms will apply, subject to mandatory law. Where no Specific Terms apply:
- You should notify us as soon as possible through the Contact Us page
- A missed live session or failure to attend does not automatically create a refund right
- We may offer a reasonable alternative date, recording, credit or replacement where appropriate, without creating an obligation to do so in every case
- We may reschedule a session or programme for operational, safety, illness, technology or capacity reasons and will give reasonable notice where possible
- If we cancel a paid service and do not provide a reasonable alternative, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled part
10 Programme Delivery
The format, schedule, facilitator, platform, materials, support and learning activities are described in the relevant offer. We may make reasonable changes that preserve the overall purpose and value of the programme, including changing a session time, delivery platform, example, guest contributor or order of content.
Access is personal to the registered participant unless written permission allows another arrangement. You are responsible for a suitable device, internet connection, software access and a safe environment for participation.
11 Learning Partner Responsibilities
A Learning Partner agrees to:
- Participate professionally and complete agreed work honestly
- Meet reasonable deadlines and communicate promptly about blockers
- Protect confidential and personal information
- Follow project briefs, brand rules, platform terms and lawful instructions
- Use artificial intelligence responsibly and disclose material use where requested
- Check work for accuracy, originality, permissions, bias and suitability before submission
- Avoid presenting practice, supervised or draft work as independently commissioned client work without permission
- Respect other participants, facilitators, clients and business partners
12 Business Partner Responsibilities
A Business Partner agrees to:
- Provide an accurate brief, timely access, lawful materials and a suitable point of contact
- Give constructive feedback and approvals within agreed times
- Avoid requesting unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, infringing or unsafe work
- Protect Learning Partner information and use it only for the agreed purpose
- Respect the supervised learning nature of any project described as a training project
- Pay agreed fees, sponsorships or project charges on time
- Obtain permission for any personal data, brand asset or third party content supplied
13 Projects Sponsorship and Opportunities
A sponsored place or supervised project is not an employment agency service unless expressly agreed. Participation does not guarantee employment, paid work, a client contract, investment, sponsorship renewal or any particular commercial outcome.
The Business Partner remains responsible for decisions about employment, contracting, publication and use of deliverables. Any direct relationship formed between a Business Partner and Learning Partner may require separate terms, checks, insurance, tax treatment and data protection arrangements.
14 Results and Professional Advice
Training and support are designed to improve knowledge, capability and execution. Results depend on factors outside our control, including participation, experience, resources, market conditions, decisions and implementation. No revenue, profit, audience, employment, client acquisition, qualification or business result is guaranteed unless a written guarantee expressly states its conditions.
Content is educational and commercial information. It is not regulated legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting, medical or mental health advice. Obtain qualified advice for your circumstances where appropriate.
15 Artificial Intelligence
Programmes may teach or use artificial intelligence tools. Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased or unsuitable. You remain responsible for reviewing facts, permissions, confidentiality, intellectual property, privacy, platform rules and professional standards before using an output.
You must not enter confidential information, personal information or protected client material into an artificial intelligence service unless you have authority, a lawful basis and suitable safeguards.
16 Confidentiality
Each participant must keep confidential information received through a programme or project secure and use it only for the agreed purpose. Confidential information includes private business plans, access details, customer information, unreleased materials, pricing, project data and personal disclosures that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential.
Confidentiality does not cover information that is lawfully public, already known without restriction, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law. A person required to disclose information should give notice where lawful and practical.
17 Intellectual Property
Unless the Specific Terms say otherwise, Symposia Founders or its licensors own the website, programme structure, teaching materials, recordings, templates, assessments, branding and original content. You receive a limited, personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use supplied materials for your own learning or internal business use.
You must not reproduce, sell, license, publish, distribute, upload, scrape, train a model on, create a competing programme from or commercially exploit protected material without prior written permission.
Ownership and permitted use of project deliverables will be stated in the relevant project brief or Specific Terms. Pre existing materials, tools, methods, templates and know how remain the property of their existing owner unless expressly assigned in writing.
18 Participant Content
You retain ownership of content you lawfully create and submit, subject to third party rights. You grant us a limited licence to host, review, reproduce and share it as reasonably necessary to deliver the programme, supervise the project, provide feedback and meet legal obligations.
We will not publish your testimonial, identifiable case study, photograph or promotional recording without an appropriate permission or agreement.
19 Acceptable Use and Community Conduct
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or deliberately disrupt another person
- Share another participant's private information or programme access
- Upload malware, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with systems
- Submit plagiarised, unlawful, misleading or infringing work
- Record a private session without permission
- Solicit, spam or target participants in a way that is unrelated to the agreed programme
- Use the website or programme to facilitate fraud or another unlawful activity
20 Suspension and Termination
We may suspend access or end participation where there is non payment, serious misconduct, material breach, security risk, unlawful conduct or repeated failure to follow reasonable programme requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and allow a reasonable opportunity to correct it.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect people, confidential information, systems, intellectual property or legal compliance. Payment consequences will depend on the circumstances, the Specific Terms and mandatory law.
21 Third Party Services and Links
The website and programmes may use or link to external platforms. We do not control their availability, terms, pricing, privacy, security or content. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with relevant third party terms. We are not responsible for an external service except to the extent the law does not permit responsibility to be excluded.
22 Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the website and services available, but uninterrupted or error free access is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security issues, provider failures, internet outages and events outside reasonable control may affect availability.
We may update website content, offers and these Terms and Conditions. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under an existing contract unless the change is required by law or agreed with you.
23 Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that protection, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by your failure to follow instructions, or decisions made without obtaining appropriate professional advice. For a business customer, total liability arising from a particular paid service will not exceed the fees paid or payable for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where the Specific Terms state a different lawful limit.
Consumer liability is limited only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
24 Events Outside Reasonable Control
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside its reasonable control, provided it takes reasonable steps to reduce the effect and resumes performance when practical. This may include serious illness, natural disaster, government action, widespread power or internet failure, platform outage, civil emergency or industrial disruption.
25 Complaints
Please submit a complaint through the Contact Us page with your name, relevant programme or order, a clear description and the outcome requested. We will acknowledge and review the complaint within a reasonable time.

26 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and any non contractual dispute are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections of the law of your habitual residence and you may bring a claim in any court available to you under applicable consumer law. For a business customer, the courts of Elche, Alicante, Spain will have exclusive jurisdiction unless the Specific Terms validly provide otherwise.
27 Severability and No Waiver
If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
28 Contact
All questions, notices, withdrawal requests, cancellations, complaints and other communications must be submitted through the Contact Us page.
